I am experimenting with adding accents of sage green to liven up an open contemporary kitchen space. What I have seen so far is that it really adds quite a bit of warmth to the space.

When I first had the idea to add green cabinets, Teryl and I discussed and the response was a fearful doubt of whether a Cheyenne buyer would be interested in such a combination. I like to push the envelope, however, so I went ahead.

Combinations of White, Gold, and Green

I knew I wanted to try something different this time, and combining gold metal with green accents would really make the kitchen unique, different than what I usually see in the local market. These kind of combinations are being used other places, however, and with great success and appeal to a certain kind of buyer that is looking for a more contemporary style. The combination in the picture to the right is what I settled on.

A Year in the Making

The 4th Avenue house will be coming on the market next week. I have been working on this house for an entire year! The challenges that knob and tube electric and lathe and plaster walls presented delayed the launch of this unique property. On top of this, the garage had to be rebuilt and lot lines re-surveyed in order to ensure that we were conforming to city zoning restrictions. Hope to see you next week at our open house!
